Send a wish to the Virtual Wishing Tree…

We’re excited to announce our latest creative technology installation: the Virtual Wishing Tree. Created in partnership with the Buddha’s Day Festival, the vibrant interactive experience is a celebration of hope for festival patrons and global audiences alike.

Audiences from all over the world will be able to contribute messages of positivity to the Virtual Wishing Tree. These messages will then rise as leaves into the branches of the tree, an intimate yet universal expression of hope.

For attendees of the Buddha’s Day Festival, this virtual experience will also take a more physical form. Witnessing a seamless blend of digital and physical experience, attendees will be treated to a beautiful, large-scale display of wishes ascending the Wishing Tree.

If you’d like to contribute your own message of hope to the Virtual Wishing Tree, you can do so here.

And if you’re in Melbourne the weekend of 13 – 15 May 2022, consider heading over to Golden Square to check out the physical installation out for yourself.
